The General is an elegant Spanish stallion that has great presence and attitude in the show ring but at the same time is sweet and sensitive - which personifies some the greatest attributes of the Spanish Horse. He is elegant and noble and stamps his offspring with great athletic ability and his incredible temperament. General has great floating movement and suspension, best suited for dressage, jumping and driving. He loves to jump and has done non-competitive cross-country jumping. |

In 1994, when he won the National Champion Andalusian Stallion title, the show was judged by Col. Juan Llamas, who is considered by many to be the world's foremost authority on the Spanish horse. In fact, Sr. Llamas even presented Jane Mortenson, his then owner, with a special award of his own devising, naming General the Best Horse in Show. That year General also won the English Pleasure/Hunt Seat National Championship. The General has been shown extensively by Jane Mortenson and Holly Kilburn in Andalusian shows on the East coast, during which time he repeatedly won the Stallion class, Best Movement, Best Get of Sire and various performance classes. In short, General has been campaigned for years and his well proven and well tested amongst his peers. Even now, 6 years after his National Championship, I meet people who still remember General's winning performance - his great elegance, stunning beauty and presence. He was and continues to be a true champion. |
